Are You Leading Change Like a 6th Grader?

This is a TED video of Thomas Suarez, a 6th grader who taught himself how to program iPhone and iPad apps.

The short video is worth watching but here were some soundbites that I enjoyed:

“My favorite app is “Bustin Jieber,” which is a Justin Bieber whack-a-mole. I created it because a lot of people at school disliked Justin Bieber.”

“I started an App Club at school. Any student at my school can come and learn how to design an app. This is so I can share my experience with others.”

“I’d like to create more apps and more games. I’m working with a third party.”

I’m hoping that I can feel the freedom to create and share more often, and pay more attention to what other people value the way Thomas has.
